Father and son duo, Michael & David Curtis specialise in a variety of classics hits from the 50's to present day. The blend of tight harmonies, keyboards and acoustic guitar offer a smooth, easy listening mix of music from background to party and ballroom dance, rock n roll and sing a long standards.
Father, David Curtis has a long history in the New Zealand music industry having started his career as a teenager with 2 national top 10 hits to his credit, before the age of 15, including a gold disc for 'Wheel of Fortune'. He spent 10 years in the UK music industry and has toured as support act in concert with the Hollies, Leo Sayer, The Irish Rovers, and Richard Clayderman.
His last 2 releases in 2022 each spent over 2 months in the UK 'Hotdisc' independent Top 30, and his 2022 Christmas release made it to Top 10 on the Australian Country Songs Christmas Airplay Charts.
While 'Dad' brings the 'old school' to the duo, son Michael is very much the modern pop influence of the two. Just embarking on his music career, Michael has over 2,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and his 3rd single 'Vegas' received national airplay on ZM, as well as on Radio New Zealand. During a 15 minute interview on RNZ's Sunday Morning show, he discussed the inspiration and making of the song 'Vegas' to promote the release. Michael is heavily influenced by modern and 80's pop and has a promising career ahead as a singer songwriter.
